
3D Research at the Creative Europe InfoDay, at the University of Calabria

3D Research will take part in the first information day organized by the Creative Europe Desk Italy, to be held at UNICAL.
The Creative Europe Desk Italy is organizing an information day on the Creative Europe Programme, in Rende (CS), in collaboration with the University of Calabria – 3D Research, Europe Direct “Calabria Europa” Gioiosa Jonica, and Europe Direct Reggio Calabria.
The event is scheduled for March 12th, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., at the University Club Hall of the University of Calabria, Via Pietro Bucci, Arcavacata di Rende (CS).
The information day is dedicated to the presentation of the calls under the Culture Programme and the MEDIA Programme for the cultural and creative sector:

European cooperation projects, aimed at cooperating and co-producing beyond national borders to promote social inclusion, audience engagement, environmental sustainability, digital innovation (AI, big data, blockchain, Metaverse, Virtual Worlds, NFT, etc.), international dimension, and support for the cultural and creative sectors of Ukraine.

Culture Moves Europe, which supports the mobility of artists, creatives, and cultural professionals through the action dedicated to individual mobility and the action dedicated to residencies.

MEDIA Programme, which provides support for audiovisual works, including films, TV series, documentaries, video games, and immersive content, as well as cinemas, festivals, VOD services, and markets. It also contributes to promoting European talents through training programs, as well as audience development and film education.

Creative Innovation LAB, which co-finances the design, development, and/or dissemination of innovative tools, models, and solutions applicable to the audiovisual sector and to other cultural and creative sectors, with a high potential for replicability. Projects must address one or more of the following topics: virtual worlds as a new environment for the promotion of European content, audience renewal, and the competitiveness of the European content industries; innovative business tools for production, financing, and distribution through new technologies (AI, big data, blockchain, Metaverse, Virtual Worlds, NFT, etc.); “greener practices” to reduce the environmental impact of the audiovisual and other cultural sectors, in line with the European Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus initiative.

Journalism Partnerships, which encourage the European media sector to become more sustainable and resilient through cooperation, and to support media pluralism, democracy, and civic participation.

Media literacy, which encourages exchanges and knowledge sharing on literacy policies to enable the development of innovative cross-border media literacy initiatives across Europe, in a constantly evolving digital media landscape.
During the presentation, there will also be three testimonies from beneficiaries of the Creative Europe Programme in Calabria:

The projects “Creamare” and “ART4SEA – Melting Art, Creativity and Marine Sciences to foster Ocean Literacy in the Mediterranean area”, coordinated by 3D Research, which respectively promote the knowledge of archaeological treasures hidden beneath the sea, and the combination of art, creativity, and science to safeguard the marine environment.

CREATIVE EUROPE DESK ITALY
Coordinated by the Italian Ministry of Culture through the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity in partnership with Cinecittà S.p.A., it is the national desk for the Creative Europe Programme in Italy. The Desk is composed of the Culture Office, managed by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the MiC, and the MEDIA Offices in Turin, Rome, and Bari, managed by Cinecittà.
The Desk is co-financed by the European Commission and is part of the European network of Creative Europe Desks, which promote the Programme in each participating country and provide free technical assistance to potential beneficiaries of Creative Europe.
