Oceanology International 2022

From March 15 to 17, the Oceanology International 2022 was held in London at the Excel London exhibition center, the world’s largest fair and international conference on marine-related topics. Since 1969, it has brought together over 500 stakeholders from around the globe each year, including Government bodies, companies, academic and research institutions across Europe, America, and Asia.

3D Research was specifically invited to participate by ITA, the Italian Trade Agency, a governmental body that supports and promotes the economic development of Italian companies abroad while also seeking to attract new foreign investments to Italy.

Indeed, we can claim a prominent position among European companies in the Blue Economy sector, on the one hand thanks to our long academic experience through participation in as many as 10 European research projects on the subject, and on the other by having developed, over time, products aimed at enhancing Underwater Cultural Heritage.

We had the opportunity to set up a stand and promote, in addition to some research projects, a couple of our flagship products: DEVSS, the autonomous surface navigation vehicle particularly suitable for marine research and monitoring; DIVY, the underwater navigation system also equipped with Augmented Reality, appreciated by both professional and recreational divers; VIRTUAL DIVING, the Virtual Reality underwater visiting experience that allows even non-divers to enjoy the treasures of Underwater Cultural Heritage.

Oceanology International is not only a venue to discover the most innovative solutions on the market but above all an important opportunity for exchange and dialogue, through seminars, conferences, and pitches held both during the event and later online, on a topic of growing global importance.
