BCTHubs Conference: 3DR presents its flagship projects!

From December 4th to 6th, 3D Research took part in the international conference of the BCTHubs project, entitled “Widening the Big Blue Horizon.” This first edition was held in Volos, Greece, under the patronage of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture.

The event welcomed over 430 participants, both in person and online, from 39 countries, with a total of 360 registered attendances. Among those present were academics, experts in maritime innovation, and public-sector stakeholders, engaged in discussions on strategies for research, conservation, accessibility, and management of Underwater Cultural Heritage.

The conference proved to be an important opportunity to share results achieved and lessons learned within the framework of significant research projects, with the aim of fostering the development of innovative skills for the protection and enhancement of underwater heritage.

In this context, 3D Research contributed through three publications dedicated to the results of several important European projects: BCTHubs, CREAMARE, and ART4SEA.

These projects focus on the valorization, protection, and sustainable management of Underwater Cultural Heritage, through the integration of advanced technological solutions and creative approaches.

Also presented was the demo of CREAMARE: The Game, the underwater-themed serious game developed within the CREAMARE project. The demo attracted great interest among participants, demonstrating how technology, culture, and creativity can come together to make underwater heritage more accessible to an ever-wider audience.
