Yesterday the first Creative Europe InfoDay, at UNICAL

Yesterday, 3D Research took part in the first Creative Europe InfoDay 2024, organized by the Creative Europe Desk Italy – Culture Officeat the University Club Hall of the University of Calabria.

After the institutional greetings from Professor Maurizio Muzzupappa, Rector’s Delegate for Technology Transfer, and the warm welcome by Silvia D’Elia, Project Officer at EACEA of the European Commission, connected from Brussels, the agenda was filled with significant contributions.

The testimonies of Alessandra Tuzza, Director of Europe Direct Calabria Gioiosa Ionica, and Marialucia Malara from Europe Direct Municipality of Reggio Calabria, were followed by presentations from the representatives of the Creative Europe Desk Italy, who introduced the various calls of the Creative Europe Programme.

Anna Conticello presented the data and perspectives of the Culture strand, Andrea Coluccia illustrated the MEDIA strand, while Marzia Santone discussed the European cooperation projects for inclusion and sustainability, as well as the Creative Innovation LAB. Coluccia and Enrico Proietti then introduced the calls for journalism and residencies, aimed at encouraging the European media sector to become more sustainable and resilient through cooperation.

The President of 3D Research, Fabio Bruno, then presented the activities of the spin-off of the University of Calabria, focusing in particular on the ongoing projects Creamare and Art4sea, both supported by the Creative Europe Programme, with 3DR as coordinator.

Creamare promotes underwater cultural heritage and aims to raise awareness of major social issues such as pollution and other environmental threats affecting the oceans.
Art4sea supports collaboration among artists, scientists, creative professionals, and digital technology experts, with the goal of engaging as many people as possible and reshaping their relationship with the ocean, promoting sustainability.

The invitation extended to all participants was to take an active role, apply to the calls by intertwining pathways, and maintain a visionary attitude!
